Winter 2026: A Season of Growth, Service, and New Friendships

From a mom’s perspective, Winter 2026 flew by faster than we could have imagined. What made it so special wasn’t just the snow-covered days or bundled-up adventures—it was watching our young entrepreneurs continue to grow, create, and connect with the world around them.

This season, the kids poured their energy into making even more handmade flags, each one crafted with pride and purpose. It was incredible to see their creativity turn into something meaningful as they handed them out during the pet adoption event hosted by Steve Caporizzo. That experience wasn’t just about giving—it was about learning the value of community, kindness, and showing up for a cause bigger than themselves.

Along the way, we made some unforgettable connections. One highlight was meeting a local sheriff who was out patrolling the snowy hills, making sure everyone stayed safe. What started as a quick hello turned into a memorable moment for the kids—real-life examples of service and protection right in front of them.

Our adventures also took us to Lake George, where we had the chance to visit the local fire department and police department. The kids were full of questions, curiosity, and respect, soaking in every bit of the experience. These moments help shape their understanding of community roles and inspire them to think about how they can make a difference.

And sprinkled throughout our daily outings, we had the honor of meeting a few veterans. Those encounters were simple but powerful—reminders of sacrifice, courage, and gratitude. The kids didn’t just hear about service; they met the people who lived it.

And just like that—spring burst onto the scene.

With the change in season came a shift in energy. Many of our young entrepreneurs traded snow boots for cleats, diving headfirst into spring sports. Local dads stepped up in incredible ways—volunteering countless hours at the ball fields, coaching teams, and, in many cases, continuing their service in our communities as firefighters. Some dads, home on leave, gave their time to mentor and coach, creating moments these kids won’t forget.

There’s also been a deeper awareness this season. With current global tensions, our community has grown even closer. Our young entrepreneurs are noticing more—active military trainings in the area, local police helicopter practice overhead—all efforts focused on keeping communities safe. Instead of fear, it’s sparked conversations, awareness, and appreciation.

What stands out most is how these kids are learning to connect the dots: service isn’t just something you read about—it’s all around them. On the fields, in the fire trucks, in the skies above, and in the people they meet every day.

Winter may have been short, spring may be busy—but together, they’ve created a season full of purpose, perspective, and pride.

Follow along on our adventures on Facebook and Instagram to see what these young entrepreneurs are up to next. And if you’d like to support our mission—to give back to those who look out for all of us—consider purchasing some of our merch. Every bit of support helps us continue teaching these kids the value of service, community, and gratitude.
